Description: Athens PBJ's is a non profit organization that uses food to bridge the gap between homeless and non homless folks living in the Athens area. This project consisted of a complete rebrand, web buildout, and the creation of original artwork that depicts America's greatest city #dawgsontop

Description: The Feed is a web-based mobile app designed to encourage healthy eating habits for kitchen rookies. This project represented my first attempt at producing photo realistic graphics from scratch. This project also challenged my skills at creating and implementing effective UI & UX (user interface & user experience design).

Description: Malbox Project is a company that specializes in mailbox repair, restoration, and replacement throughout the southeast. This project has consisted of brand development/strategy as well as countless web-buildouts.

Client: Sperry Van Ness

Description: Sperry Van Ness Hokayem is a leading commercial real estate company from North Ga. This project consisted of a full web build out filled with advanced features such as property search and agent link.

The image below displays a few of the stages leading up to my final logo design. I set out to create a modern logo that incorporated all three of my initials (George Louis Hokayem) and had a constellation like feel.

Good People Project

The concept for the piece was driven by eagerness to create something uplifting for the city of Gainesville. The artwork depicts the facial structure of FDR with a text line that reads "Good People of Gainesville", a line that was taken from a speech given by the president in 1938 following the most trying time in Gainesville's history. My hope is that this piece will always serve as an encouraging reminder to all of us that we are not defined by our hardships but rather by the way respond and care for our neighbors in the midst of difficult times.

Hand Drawn Projects:

"Mitzy" was the name of a cartoon that my grandfather created in the 1960's for a Miami newspaper. After discovering a box of his old work, I decided to try my hand at his trade.

Most of the photos below display my effort to recreate Mitzy almost 45 years after its original publication. After recreating a few pieces, I decided to create some original "Mitzy" inspired work of my own. I hope you enjoy.
